on his Kindle (iPad).
Professor Tooley examined for-profit private schools serving the very poorest citizens of India, several African countries, and China.
He first got the idea for this research on a visit to Chennai (then Madras) in 2000 when he traveled to the slums of Chennai
and discovered several for-profit private schools.
