In honor of Enid Miller Slivka's 80th birthday, a
Room to Read
library was created at the
Kenthao Complete Secondary School
in the
Phouan village,
Kenthao district,
Xayabouly province
of
Laos.
Construction began on 3/29/2007 and the building was officially opened on 9/13/2007.

includes more details about the school, the community, and the project, along with a few photographs.
The text on the dedication plaque reads in part:
This library was established cooperatively by the local community and Room to Read.
It is dedicated to Enid Miller Slivka, who worked as a librarian in public, private, and
military libraries in Colorado, Nebraska, Washington, and Austria from 1944 to 1997.
