de Canto Wine Bar, Venice->Copenhagen, Grand Hotel, Divan 2
Ben and Lisa got up for an early morning walk along the lagoon away from San Marco.
It was cooler and very peaceful -- few people, wider streets, and parks with many different statues.
We also walked by buildings that looked like homes for more typical Venetians.
Back at the hotel for breakfast, then time to pack up and take the 40 minute boat taxi to
the Venice airport.
We found
de Canto Wine Bar
at
Venice Marco Polo International Airport
and had one last taste of simple Italian food.
We took the 2:10 p.m. SAS flight (#2688) to Copenhagen, arriving at 4:15 p.m.
We collected our luggage and took a taxi to
Grand Hotel Copenhagen.
We ate dinner at
Divan 2
in
Tivoli,
a few blocks from our hotel. Dinner was fancy Danish fare, and we enjoyed a bottle
of
2004 Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve
and some
2001 Armand Rousseau Clos de la Roche (Grand Cru).
