Backroads Day 4: 40 bike miles, Modica, Scicli, Donnalucata
Today started out in the sunshine and ended up in a torrential downpour.
The first pictures of the day are looking out over olive trees to the sea.
The side excursion to
Modica
was in the morning before lunch, but no pictures because Lisa was afraid that she was going to miss lunch.
Modica is know for chocolate and Lisa would have happily spent more time in Modica sampling.
Lunch was at
La Grotta
in the town of
Scicli,
complete with pictures of lovely buildings.
After lunch, the group rode to the seaside town of
Donnalucata
and stopped for gelato.
Looking back at the pictures, Lisa is amazed that she shot a picture of the seaside in the sunshine
because the weather changed very quickly.
